Watertribe women are all bamfs. Inspired by my desire to fix this whitewashed picture and came out with this. PS CS3 and Paint tool SAI, ~11 hrs. I’m proud of the result.
<333 YES THANK YOU
To be fair, the deviantartist (a filipino like me, so we kind of live in a land of perpetually whitewashed media UGHHHH) who made said whitewashed picture made a version with the “corrected colors” and less light bloom at his account.
But srsly, no one has to get scared of making the watertribe girls or other characters less brown than they actually are. There are solutions to this, you can catch your habits and deprogram the constant visual need to over-lighten IRL skin tones.
It is important to draw wisdom from many different places. If we take it from only one place, it becomes rigid and stale. Understanding others - the other elements, and the other nations - will help you become whole
Just some quick doodles (10 min?) of Korra and Aang (old) avataring (probably not the right word, or a word at all), after watching the season finale of Korra (started and finished today hahaha). I’m sure a lot of you guys haven’t watched it yet so i won’t spoil :). but many feelings hgggnn!!
i may or may not finish/redo them when i get a chance.
still not very good at drawing old men/people in general yet. note to self to practice D:
I haven’t been able to properly tumble ever since the finale. I’ve been in a both physical and emotional state of drained sentiments. My chest is heavy. There’s a constant knot in my throat. I made the mistake of rewatching the finale and now I can’t bring myself to do anything but ache.
It was…
God, I can’t even function properly right now….just watched it….UGH SERIOUSLY I KEEP CRYING

Mako: What do you mean, “How are we going to pay for all these parking tickets?” Use your fucking IMAGINATION. HAVE I TAUGHT YOU NOTHING???
Why has no one taken my computer away from me yet?
Parts of a failed painting experiment that I shall never work on again, so I might as well post now.

The Legend of Korra - Realistic portraits of the main characters By director Kwang il Han of Studio MIR

I think Korra would really like her fangirl from episode 6. She’d feel flattered to know that someone cosplayed her.

Cheeks always brings a lot of fun to his stylization of characters. I can’t wait to see the final poster he has planned.
